RRJ-350 Reluctor Ring Installation Tool |
|
Adjustable depth for popular flange widths Removing the reluctor ring when recondition crankshafts is important as cleaning media and debris can become trapped between the ring and the crankshaft counter weight. You may also need to replace the reluctor ring if it has become damaged or if it hangs over the #5 main, preventing regrinding of that journal. To install, head the reluctor ring to 450 degrees F, then slide it onto the casting. Be sure to deburr all components before beginning assembly. Sharp edges will cause the reluctor ring to catch on the casting, making assembly impossible. Our Reluctor Ring Installation Tool aligns GM#12559353 Sensor Ring on the crankshaft in the correct phased position. Adjustable for use on arrow 7/8" wide or 1-1/4" wide flywheel flanges. Indexes in dowel hole of flange to dowel hole in sensor ring.
