How do I order online?
Do I need to log in to use the online store?
At this time, it's NOT necessary to log in to use our online store. That said, however, it's to your advantage to create an online account and log in when you shop at Goodson.com. By creating an account, your bill-to and ship-to information will be saved. You won't need to re-enter this information again and again unless you want to make changes.
I already have an account with Goodson; do I need to create a new one online?
Your existing Goodson account is good both when you call in an order and when you order online. The first time you order online, you will need to enter your bill-to and ship-to information, but our computer system will link that information to your existing account. By creating a user name and password online your account information will be saved and you won’t need to re-enter it every time you order online.
How can I put my order on my Goodson account?
When you check out, you’re given the option to choose your Goodson account just like you would a credit card.
My purchases are tax-exempt. Why is my total showing sales tax?
If Goodson has a certificate of tax exemption on file, we will adjust your total to reflect that your purchases are exempt from taxes. If you are ordering from Goodson for the first time, we will need to have a certificate on file. Please contact our accounting department for additional information or to request a tax exempt form for your state.
How do I know my order went through?
When you submit your order, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order has been received. This will include your Order Number and a recap of your billing, shipping and payment information.
What are my payment options?
Goodson accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. You can also have your order charged to your Goodson account or we will accept personal checks. If you choose to pay by personal check, your order will ship once we have received the check. We will also accept bank drafts. For more information or to arrange a bank draft, contact our accounting department.
I have your paper catalog. Can I order online?
You bet! We use the same order numbers online and in the catalog to make it easier for you to find what you’re looking for.
How do I ship to an address that’s different from my billing address?
When you set up your account, you’re given the option to enter a ship-to address that is different from your bill-to address. If you need to change the ship-to address once you’ve set up your account, simply choose My Account from the check-out options and change the ship-to address at that time.
What are the benefits of creating an online account?
The biggest advantage of creating an online account is convenience. When you create an account, your bill-to and ship-to information is saved so you won’t need to re-enter this information again, unless you want to make changes. Creating an account also creates an archive of your orders so that you can check back on what you’ve ordered in the past in case you can’t remember a part number or size of an item that you’ve ordered before.
How do I update my account information?
If something in your account information (address, phone, e-mail, etc.) changes, be sure to update your online account settings. To update these settings, go to the online store main page and select the link My Account. Log in with your user name and password. You can then edit your information as needed. When you have made the necessary changes, be sure to click the Save Account Info button.
How do I cancel an order once I’ve checked out?
There are a couple of ways that you can cancel an order placed online. First, you can send an e-mail to [email protected] with Cancel Order No. (insert your order number) in the subject line. Or you can call toll-free 1-800-533-8010 (outside the US & Canada, call 1-507-452-1830) and ask to talk to a customer service representative about your online order.
How do I add to an order once I’ve checked out?
Probably the easiest way to add to your order once you’ve checked out is to place another order and in the Additional Info field, put a note to add this order to your previous order being sure to refer to the previous order number. We will combine the orders when we process them. You can also call toll-free and speak to one of our customer service representatives or e-mail [email protected] with the items you’d like to add to your previous order. Be sure you have your Order Number handy when you call or e-mail. A current telephone number will also speed things along.
How do I return an item?
In the unlikely event that you aren’t satisfied with one of our products or you’ve accidentally ordered the wrong item, you can send it back. There is a product return form (PRF) on the back of the invoice included in your shipment. Simply fill this out and ship the item(s) back to Goodson Returns. When we’ve processed the return, we’ll issue a credit, replace the item or work with you to get it repaired. To speed the return process, be sure to include your account number and the reason you are returning the item(s).
How do I know that you have what I’m ordering in stock?
Goodson maintains a large inventory, allowing us to ship 98.5% of orders complete. As you browse through the online store, you will see a notation for each product as to whether or not it is in stock. If an item is not available, there is a place for you to enter your email address to receive notification when it becomes available again. Entering your email address here will not result in you receiving promotional emails from Goodson or any other company.
I live outside of the United States. Can I still order online from Goodson?
Yes. In fact, we encourage our export to order online to accommodate the time differences.
I’ve entered my user name and password but nothing’s happening. What’s wrong?
After entering the log-in information, be sure to use your mouse to select the log-in button. Using the enter button won’t work.
How long will it take for me to receive my order?
All orders received online by 5:00 (US central time) Monday - Friday, are shipped the same day. All other orders are shipped on the next business day. We use a network of service centers to ship orders as fast as possible. Most orders shipped by standard ground arrive in two to 4 days. If you need your order by a specific date, please consider an expedited shipping method such as 2nd day or overnight.
