What is the correct size of the 11/32" valve guide bore prior to installing the Thin-Wall .030 Bronze-Liners? What is the maximum allowable valve guide wear to use the thin wall liner?
Bored hole should measure; .372"-.3735" . Wear would be a maximum of .015" from guide center line. A guide does’nt wear that way though, it shows wear in two directions. A quick check measurement of .007" total wear and there is usually no problems. Beyond this figure and we must bore to make sure the guide hole cleans completely.
