I wanted to find out how detremental it is to have some mild cylinder wall pitting. (at the mod point of the cylinder) The block I am working with is already .060 and the option of finding another block is slim. I would contemplate sleeving the block but that would require 4 sleeves
Depending on how “mild” (deep) the pitted area is, you can just leave it the way it is, sometimes it works, but pitting zones tend to cause damage on piston rings and contribute with the loose of cylinder compresion.
If you want to do a good job, we will recomend the sleeving or the block replacement.
